Hi guys, Sean here,
So ive ventured into the dye sub world, well when i say me its mostly the Mrs, She been doing some arts & craft things for the last few years. But never this lol
So me being me i decided to get her a mug press & printer for xmas. (Cheap from online) yes i know i know cheap = cheap quality, so already from what ive red ive made a big mistake,
i thought this would be enough to atleast get her started/interested in it before wasting x amount on pro or atleast good proper equipment. and yes the main problem we're having is black coming out brownish on the paper.
Anyway guys hope you all had a good xmas and no doubt youl be hearing from me very very soon ha

Welcome. Black going brown means too hot or too hot for too long. Reduce temp by say 10c or time by 30s and see how that goes. If you've bought cheap then you're probably not using sawgrass ink which is easier to work with so it is trial and error.

The poster is saying brown on paper not the mug. I would start with which printer, paper and inks are you using

You don't say what equipment you are using, and you have installed an ICC profile, haven't you?

Sorry but this has been heard time and time again. Use the search bar at the top and type in Ricoh 2100. I am afraid you may not like what you read though.
