Hi

i am looking for a recomendation on some web page generation software. In an ideal world freeware would be good but I don't mind shelling out a few quid for something that actually works. I just need somehting pretty simple, no clever stuff required and intuitive to use.

What are you looking to achieve with the software? Shop, info site etc?

all I want to do is put a few simple web pages with a price list, who to contact, a gallery, about - not a shop, nothing clever.

I have to confess that I have a word press account but it just leaves me confused - intuitive is not a word I would use!

I originally chose Wordpress as it was supposed to have a free script to allow you to rotate an object on the page - looked ideal for displaying mugs, but I never got that far.

I set up a basic info site for a friend using Weebly, we pay for Premium to get additional features but it was easy to learn and setup, very effective.

I use Joomla!, it has sooooo many available FREE, yes FREE plug ins, including Virtuemart, so you can run an ecommerce site, you can also if you want to run a blog site etc!

Yep, and get all the adverts that you cannot stop!!!

Check out Mobirise, some great features and very easy to use, you need to find a host for it but there are plenty of deals out there for £2 a month or less.
