Re: Corel draw Edit text settings have gone haywire

Post by Quinsfan »

Hi all
Something has gone wrong somewhere and I haven't a clue what to do.
I have attached some images to try and explain.
I have typed out my text then go into Text, edit text which opens a new box. I then retype the text using the centred icon so it should look like the second photo but when I hit okay it just squishes it all together.
I have not changed anything and this is how I have always done it.
Thanks for looking.

Update
It seems that because I was editing a previous piece of artwork it didn't like what I was doing. I have just created a new document and typed it out fresh and it worked. Still non the wiser why it didn't let me do it on the saved file but heyho now all good the print

That has happened to me when Ive imported an image and text from a customer onto my screen. I think something happens to the setting when its imported but have no idea why it happens. I then do as you did, opened another screen and redid the text in that , then cut and paste the image ( without text) from the origional page into this new one.
As for editing the text as you did by opening the text edit box, I never do. I always edit on screen. Its the way Ive learnt to do it.
