Have you checked the paper is being held square in the tray with the adjustable guides?

Yes, i have tried this... The tray is a little loose but i have nudged it around in different positions. The attachment on the back of the printer is also a little looser than when i first bought it.
I bought it from your good self... i would like to try and arrange to send it back but it's in constant 7 days use at the mo!

Sounds like the feed rollers try and clean them by running a thicker paper through maybe with a v small amount of cleaning fluid on it.

this just happens - especially with the cheaper printers, - but even with 10k ones!
As suggested, try cleaning the rollers, - open it up and follow the path, just scuff up rollers with your fingernail and cheack for any rough bits.
