Just setup a Ricoh SG 3110DN with Sawgrass sublijet R inks, downloaded the driver, I am on a Mac. Setup Photoshop as per instructions. As far as I am aware I followed to the letter. I am using TexPrint-R paper.
Image is of a logo in black/brown(see pic)
I use crops on my print and they come out perfectly black! The blacks in my image however looks rather brown. before I go wasting mugs and garments, is this perfectly usual?

Press one and see. What you see on paper will not really have any correlation to colour post sublimation. Obviously temp, pressure and duration plays a factor.

Thanks UK Printed Mugs I did one with some previous setups with a similar print result and tried the 180/180 approach and got a reasonable result but a little muddy, blacks were not pure, the came out a little brown..
I have just ordered some mugs from Xpres and get my new Galaxy Mug Press next tuesday, I will try then!

Brown could be over pressing. Too high a temperature for too long. Or it could be your printer calibration. Nothing beats custom ICC profile. We found SG PD4 to be rubbish!

Ricoh inks often print better at 160c, 160 seconds works for me.

Have you downloaded the Powerdriver & ICC settings for using Sawgrass Imks? When I did this it improved colour quality with brown and black. Hope this helps.
