just a BIG heads up for any of you guys applying for a trademark via the proper web site - IPO :biggrin:

we just got another trademark published no bother via IPO, but today,
we just got a shocker in the door.

bill for £896, i,m like WTH ?
already paid £300 to IPO for all fees to do with registration and publishing

phone up IPO...THIS IS A SCAM people....from > WORLD ORGANIZATION FOR TRADEMARKS web site

IPO have been getting lots of people phoning them up about this fraud -
once you pay IPO the fees they tell you at the start, THERE IS NO OTHER MONEY TO PAY EVER - PERIOD !

IPO said we will get more letters from these clowns demanding money, just to bin them.

watch out people, some right smart assholes around, and if you not on the ball, you could get stung....badly

I get loads of those of trademark letters after an application. All binned on sight!

I have had something similar stating they are working for "insert name here" and a pin badge i have on ebay contravenes their copyright and they will be acting upon "insert name here's" behalf. I dont even bother to reply to them, I just mention it when i chat to "insert name here" and we have a giggle, but they are scaremongers and no doubt catch a few people out
