Hi all
Hope someone can help!
Colour and print look fine on sub paper but once they've been on the heat press there's a yellow discolouration around the finished print. Not had this problem before, using the same sub blanks, same ink, same heat press, don't think it will be the paper.
This leaves either heat and/or pressure or something to do with the print to paper process but that looks ok?!
Can anyone shed some light please
Thanks
Rachel

Which mugs/paper/ink are you using?

Hi there,
Using sub paper from Signzworld, ink was supplied with my Epsom printer that's been converted for sub printing and got that a couple of years ago, so far don't seem to have this problem on mugs but its happening on sub baby grows, tees, bibs and other fabrics I use. I don't know if it's some kind of colour bleed from the print itself (although the actual print on paper looks fine and same as normal)? It's almost like it wants to print the blank or white space an off yellow colour!

Personally I only use Truepix paper so can't comment on Signworld. You need to know what inks you have in there to enable ongoing compatibility. 2 years is quite a long time so I'd be weary of shelf life. Go over your settings again. I know, you've done that already but do it again, what you're saying about it wanting to print in the blank space could indicate a software issue.

Thanks for your reply,
I will try the Truepix paper and see what happens from there, and will go over printer settings again, if neither of those then it's new ink I think!

Try pressing a blank sheet of paper and see if you get the same issue, would identify if paper or printing

Is a full outer glow around the print or off-set to one side? I know we once had a similar problem where solid black print had a very light yellow highlight. Unfortunately I cannot remember the outcome at all so not much help there.

Hi PeteO, why didn't I think of that?! just did the paper test and that's totally fine so not the paper.

Hi Andrew, yes it's a very light yellow highlight around the print, more noticeable on a solid black print like you say, but also a little on other colours too. If you remember how you sorted it please let me know!

Also, thinking if it is the inks how do I go about replacing them?
I've got an Epson stylus office B1100 and use CISS, where's best to use and supplies good quality inks with it?

Have you done a head alignment test?
