Will be away for a couple of weeks and wondering how long the SG400 printer can be left before the print heads become clogged?

Just leave it switched on, not used mine for several months and printed a head check the other day, perfect.

Thanks, will do that. I did read a post, somewhere on DSF, saying that leaving the power on uses much or all of the ink over time. Possibly will make a note of the ink levels before leaving then once back in.

Not noticed any significant level drop but I believe there was a scenario with its predecessor where a power failure caused a deep clean when switched on again. Used my 3110 in the highlands during frequent power cuts but never had a problem.

I leave my 3110 on, very rarely use it as it's only a back up. I do a check print every few months and it's fine. Uses very little ink.

Had this happen twice now, power went off when I was away from the office, inks emptied into waste, waste filled :-(

Could be a bit expensive!
