After a massive headache (thanks for nothing Microsoft) Ive got a laptop just for printing. Set it all up but now when I print 2 things happen.
- The end of designs get cut off even though I havent changed the document size etc
- The Powerdriver doesnt mirror images in the print preview so I have to do it manually
The mirroring isnt a massive issue but will need to be sorted out as its the wife whos doing the printing and she could easily forget, loads easier for the Powerdriver to handle. The designs getting cut at the edges is maddening as no settings have been changed since I last printed anything.
If anyones got any insight into either Id be grateful
I design everything as 9.5cm by 8.2cm then drop and position on standard A4 which worked fine before.

powerpoint really isn't suitable for tshirt decoration, - try GIMP or paint.net both free - most people buy a copy of corel draw, or maybe photoshop (elements) to get much more control on layour & colour management.
your printer driver probably has an option to mirror.
your page size might be setup beyond the boundries of what your printer can achieve.

I don't use PowerPoint, not sure where that came from. Even when I select mirror in the powerdriver to print it doesn't mirror, that's the issue. The printer and software is set for A4

Which software are you using for your designing ? Also your printer will not print right to the edge of the paper. There is a 1/4 inch boundary where it will not print. So if your design goes into that area it will get cut off. Hope that make sense. As for the mirroring. Are you doing the mirroring in your software ? As well as having it set in the PowerDriver.
If so the PoweDriver is still working but is mirroring the design again. If this is the case only use one, either mirror in the software or PoweDriver. Not both.....hope this helps.

we always leave our printer settings on mirror, and make sure everything else is normal, never easy to check work when it is mirrored to look at, much easier to see it right on the screen, and then leave the printer to work its magic.

Hi Just had a thought....Have you actually printed anything to check. The reason I say this is because I use CorelDraw x7 and I use PowerDriver to print and mirror. On the CorelDraw print preview it does not show the image mirrored but when it prints it is mirrored. The only time I see the image mirrored in the print preview is if I use CorelDraw to do the mirroring. Hope that made sense
