Anyone receiving an email from USPS saying they were unable to deliver with a zip file attached do not open file it installs a fake malware program using the Microsoft logo , if its to late and you already have it Microsoft security essentials will remove it

This has been doing the rounds for months now but the warning is always relevant.

Never open attachments without virus-scanning them first (even if it looks like it comes from someone you know).

Virus scanning did not help on this one.

That surprises me.

Then again, my email app detects these emails as spam and junks them before I get chance to mess about with them.

There is also another one doing the rounds telling you that you have an efax.

The headers (forged) are from a legitimate business called efax.com, but the bogus attachment contains malware and doesn't actually originate from efax.

The usual rules apply, if you not expecting something just bin it. Might cost you an enquiry, but better than having your entire system compromised.
