Theres an image I have that looks perfect on the computer and in print, but when I print onto the mug the colour changes a lot, I have a ricoh sg 3100dn printer with sublijet ink. using bms mug paper and programmes used are office Microsoft word or coral draw. I have adjusted temps 160/200secs which I use often for my mugs, colours a little off but people don't mind.
I've tried adjusting contrast and brightness.
Don't know what else to do as the customer wants the colours exactly as on their business card.
Any suggestions please?
Thank you.

Is this a 3110 printer? Are you using power driver? Sounds like a software or profile issue. Have you followed printer and Corel setup ?
You shouldn't need to touch anything like brightness, profile controls everything.

Hi it is a 3110 printer, I use power driver and coral paint mainly and Microsoft office to get basic measurements for the mug.
I'm still not getting the right colours. Need a grey but its coming out greenish grey, and a ruby red but coming out a lighter red or very deep dark red.
cheers

Do you use the sawgrass ink colour profiles? You can get them off the sawgrass europe site.
If you know the pantone colours of your customer's card, you can also set these in Corel Draw, so regardless of how they appear onscreen, they will print out at the correct tone.
There is always the possibility of calibrating your monitor perhaps?
I also suffer from this at times, so share the pain...

I need help too, we have a 2100 Ricoh and we have tried
No colour management
Printer choose colour and
CS2 choose colour
And none of them will print black or red?
What am I doing wrong.
Cheers Louise

You have answered your own question.
The printer is not really for sublimation
The inks need to be gel inks for this system
You need an Icc profile
I would have a good read through the forum and all will become clearer.

Hi Louise,
Can you clarify? Is the colour not printing on the paper or not transferring onto the item in the heatpress?
