Have you increased the pressure so it is very tight? I had to do this previously with things like phone pouches. Might be worth a try if you can't find a solution.

Is the problem around the stitching area? I had a batch of phone pouches a year back where the stitching was quite tight and pulled the sutface to be printed away from the heat. Had to press them both side whilst blank with very firm pressure to "squash" them a bit then did the print after. Stitched neoprene can be a swine to print at times. When my phone pouches come out after a print they are quite a bit thinner than what they started with now. A pre-pressboth sides might help give a better print surface.
