Hi,

I'm experiencing a problem when I'm trying to print black striped lines onto mugs. Underneath the black lines are sort of small smudges in a magenta colour and the edge of the black lines also have a magenta colour at the edge?

I've not experienced these problems before and was printing the same design with no problems. Also I'm using the same mug press and paper that I've used for the ages with great results. The only thing that happened before it started was that two of the colour cartridges ran out and I had to swap them over for new ones (magenta and yellow ink). I'm using a ricoh sg3110 printer with sawgrass sublijet inks.

Thanks in advance.

Jessie

Have you tried a nozzle check

Hi Quinsfan,

I did a nozzle check and there are no line breaks in any of the colours. I also did the nozzle clean thing just in case and that didn't help.

I am first to admit that I am no expert but is the overspray on the paper before pressing?
A photo of the issue may help as well.

I checked the paper and the spaces in between the black lines were all clear. Thank you for replying.

After my 10th test print - I think I figured it out :-) All my printer settings and the power driver set up was as before but the colour handling option had changed to 'no colour management'? After I reset it back to 'let photoshop determine colours' it seems to have cleared the problem and is now printing the lines fine.
