Hi folks,

I have been asked to print a hoodie with simple vinyl lettering on the back. This will be a white Fruit of the loom hoodie, poly/cotton mix with the writing done in red mdp flex vinyl which prints at 150c for 12-15 secs.

Has anyone had experience with mdp flex on hoodies and will the high temp affect the material as it's a poly/cotton mix?

cheers

Yup do quite a few with MDP flex (both variants) get a bit of a shine on the hoodie quite often so I tend to use some of that forever fleece http://www.forever-ots.com/other-produc ... gory_id=19

Depending on the blend, why not sublimate it?

Never sublimated on clothing, especially tees due to the costing of material, not sure what the blend ration is i.e poly/cotton, dosen't say on the website at all. Dont want to tinge the hoodie thats all at the said temp 150c, just want it nice and bright, i have low heat vinyl which I may use instead.

We have been doing quite a lot of hoodies for my sons running club. We started out using The Magic Touch 123 Premium plus but started having a problem with it lifting so changed over to Siser Easy Weed from GrafityP, that has worked great.

Easyweed on 50/50 as is a lower temp vinyl but can still get a press mark depending n pressure and arfermos tip is a good one, will be looking around at p&p for tips on minimising press marks! Darker colours show marks more

You can't sublimate onto dark items is the first thing you need to know also sublimation needs a higher polyester content. 100% ideally but you can get some nice effects with a lower content.
I would have a good read through the forum as this has been covered many times before.
