They just need atleast a 70% polyester content and to be white or light colours. The higher the poly content the brighter/bolder the colour will stay after the first wash.

None of the colour would really show up. No white is printed through basic sublimation. If you had a blue or red hoody you could get a print on it but not photographic stuff. It would be very hard to achieve any specific colour other than black print. You need a white base ideally as that is the way the inks are laid down taking that into account.

Transfer or dtg is the options for black or obviously screenprint.

You can print on a dark garment if you're okay to print the colour image onto a white sheet first and then heat press this onto the hoodie. Fine for full block pictures but not so good if you want transparent areas in the print. To do this with sublimation you can either use sublimation flock or sublimation dark (the former is a velvety feel material, the latter a thin sheet of white flat material - print as normal, heat press into the sheet and then peal off the backing and heat press onto the garment).

If you've a colour laser then TMT WOW material will produce intricate designs with transparent areas in the image.
