After two months of waiting for Xpres to get their natural colour tote bags in, which were delivered to them today, they were rejected and sent back!!!!

Therefore looking at at least another 4-6 weeks for replacements apparently.

Does anyone else have other suppliers for NON-WHITE (natural ideally) tote bags please?

All our clients hate the white tote bags as they show up dirt so easily.

How many and how do you print them?

The ones I have are I print using TMT's laser paper and are not "sublimatable"

Hi. We are after only about 40 initially. We have an order for 20 straight away but then have a number of retailers wanting to see samples.

Actually I have just come off the phone with the lovely people from Yolo who are to send me sample paper which is I presume is the method you suggest (rather than sublimation).

In the same situation, my order months before Christmas was short as they ran out, and still nothing. The long delay is most odd, I am wondering if they have actually ordered any at all!
I am at the point where I will be looking at alternatives as the delay of many months just isn't acceptable.

Well we went outside of our comfort zone and decided to try inkjet heat transfer paper from yolo which still requires a heat press. SocialGiraffe (Simon) has kindly sold us some cotton bags. Hopefully by early next week we shall see if this method is viable. Olly

I have never used INK JET TRANSFER

Having said that I see no reason why it won't work. But if you are going to be doing a lot of these then get yourself a OKI £100 laser printer, fill it with the cheapest toner you can get and away you go I will include a couple of TTC printed sheets in the package leaving today so you can give it a test and see what its like.

Hi Socialgiraffe, why do you recommend laser over inkjet, when I started I used inkjet with dye ink for transfers but has shocking results, I have seen a demo of the magic touch laser papers and used it myself but I couldn't get viable results with regards to washing either!

Only because its what I am used to. I did try Ink Jet transfers many years ago and they were woeful. However I freely admit that they have improved significantly since then. Also, the unit cost is slightly cheaper and it is a lot quicker to print 100 copies of something on a laser than an ink jet.

Basically it works for me so have never changed

However I only do cotton bags, so things like washing are not so much of an issue.

I will take a look at YOLO papers at P&P to see how they have improved though.

I also second TMT laser paper., it might take one or two to get right but when you do its great stuff.
