Following on from my previous thread http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk/vbforum/sh ... ent-Method

I contacted Ebizmart who provided the payment link to SagePay on my website and they gave me instructions to remove it. I followed the instructions, very easy, go to Magento Connect, select Ebizmart and choose to uninstall, all went very well :)

But, having no payment checkout I tried to setup Paypal as my only payment processor, the instructions on Youtube look very easy but didn't work for me! So, now I have no check-out on my website and I'm at the point of getting someone with Magento experience to sort it out for me.

How the heck does one choose a trustworthy expert? I get plenty of emails from India offering website services but it seems to me you have to put an awful lot of trust .....

Bottom line is, I don't know anyone who can sort my checkout problem so I'm wondering if there's anyone here that can help me? I'm sure for someone with experience the problem will be easily sorted - at least I hope so! Of course I'm willing to pay :)

Looking forward to hearing back :)

Cheers

John

I have never used Magento, but have experience in oscommerce, zencart, and prestashop (all pretty similar)

http://www.host1plus.com/tutorials/cms- ... -home-page

this page gives a fairly simple guide, and looks how i would expect it to behave, is that easier to follow compared to the youtube vid?

Thanks for the reply.

As in the Youtube video I watched, the process to setup PayPal as your payment processor is so simple - how could anything go wrong :) = it doesn't work for me :(

Thanks again.

If you go to my website and attempt a purchase, just see if the PayPal payment screen comes up as part of the check-out process. On my PC, after entering the purchaser's details and trying to move forward, it just gets stuck forever!

Meanwhile I'll create another account.

Box 3 Payment Information never populates, then when i click 'Place Order' i get a 'Submitting your order now' notification that hangs.

I would assume because it wants to process a payment, and doesnt know what to do.

I found a Quick Checkout Module had been added = FME Quickcheckout https://www.magentocommerce.com/magento ... ckout.html

I was messing with this while you'd been trying to check-out so the checkout page might have looked a mess! I've now put the settings back to what they were.

Yes, the swirling 'Submitting your order now' is just about as far as I get too. I believe this is happening because there's no payment processor setup. Despite PayPal which I've been trying to sort out!

Think I'm getting somewhere now, I'll make a purchase :)

I must admit, i noticed you playing, but unfortunately bed called to me, Joys of 2 year old twins, you take sleep when you can.

Happy to have a look this evening if that helps, should be free ish from 7 onwards.

If you want to send me the logins i will drop you a message before i login and have a look.

Just to make sure i understand, you would ideally like a 'proceed to paypal' button, which when clicked lets them login and pay, or use a card to pay?

What level of paypal are you signed up for?
