I have just been gifted this A3 Epson, has anyone used one for sublimation? Can this one be used for it?

Blimey, who gifted it to you? Noah when he climbed off his Ark?

Does it use electricity, or do you have to crank it with a handle?

Back in those days the heads were very durable, but I can't cast my mind back to think that there would have been a profile for this printer, so even if it does work it's unlikely you'll get proper colour matching with this one, sorry :(

Could you use a profile that was orginally designed for the 800/850 or 1520?

You could, but you'd need to invest in the ink and some refillable cartridges first and then try it. Could work out an expensive experiment given the current cost of some A3 4 colour Epson printers which are fully supported.
