Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help...

When I print my coasters, especially dark colours...they have a tendancy to come out mottled (see attached picture). I am using a cheap swing press from BMS and am printing at 190 for 60 seconds.

Would really appreciate any guidance as to what needs adjusting!

:)

All black is hard to do on coaster, try taking out the moisture by pressing it for 10 secs

Thank you so much, that - and adjusting temp to 200 seem to have done the trick :)

might be worth remembering to "mirror" the print as well, so it prints out the right way

OK, so I got bolder after your help (thank you!) and thought I'd try a placemat. I have done pre-pressed this and I have pressed at 200 for 75 seconds. The edges are great but the middle is faded. What do you think I need to adjust for this? Would be grateful for any help!

Pressure is not even on the press, so you have a bit of a soft spot in the middle, by the looks of it

You need to turn the pressure up so it is nice and firm.
