getting new Epson's for business.
so far in 14mth,we have went through 2 wf 3520's, and an xp 520...
they are getting a hammering, and the they just start printing crap, even after flushing, head cleaning etc...worn out me thinks with getting sub ink fired through there veins
still got our 2 brothers 5910 & 6510, but use them for invoicing, as they dont give as rich a colour print as the Epsons..........

now, we are having a look at various printers, as we need 2/3 of them - dont need A3 as the 2 brothers are both A3 if needed, but most of our prints are covered by a4

so here the short list

EPSON Expression Premium XP-760 - 6 ink carts
EPSON Expression Premium XP-830 - 5 ink carts
EPSON Expression Premium XP-635 - 5 ink carts

what if any diff from the 5 to 6 ink cart in terms of quality ?
i could see a diff from using the 4 epson carts, going up to the 5....blacks were noticeably deeper

but having 6 carts ?...

anyone tried any of these printers

Do you need the 5/6 colours? I would have though Ricoh would work well for you if only needing A4.

morning justin ;)
been a while bud...hope you well...

we dont use sawgrass inks remember - we import from asia justin - dont think one can use the likes of inktec sub inks in that printer...or am i wrong here ?

i seen diff on the 5 colour in regards to the blacks...really deep with the 5.
just wondering if the prints would be even better having 6 carts - cant go back to using 4 inks now ;)
the wee xp520 made that clear print wise ;)

The 2100 is not supported by Sawgrass. There seems to be an influx of them on ebay with sublimation ink as the Sawgrass Patent seems to have expired. I am sure if you use non sawgrass inks and understand ICC profiling you may be able to make it work for you.

John, don't go anywhere near the SG2100. There's a reason it isn't supported by Sawgrass. Persistent banding issues.

I don't know how other people have got on with the Epson 1500w, but mine has had a bashing since May (I think!), and as of yet no head cleans or anything. All colours are on their second litre of inktec ink. Bought it off ebay the cheapest I could find new. The return address on the postage label was somebodies flat!
It has actually done more successful printing then my Epson 7890 that cost me £2500 and died just out of warranty!

It might have just been lucky.

My 1500w is going like the clappers as well, and not a single bit of trouble with it, and I am using a CISS and I have not had to take the top of the ink cartridge barrier, made a slight mod to it and you can't tell it has been modified!!!!
