Does anyone know a supplier of large format (36" or 914mm) lightweight (100gsm - 115gsm) gloss paper in the UK. I have a supplier in the far east but the cost of the rolls are a bit cheaper than UK prices but the carriage is unbelievable. So I'm looking for someone in the UK that supplies that kind of stock.

I supply this what quanitities ?

OOps hang on PHOTO PAPER in 120GSM ????? Ar you sure thats incredibly thin for photo paper.

I can 190gsm gloss in loads of places in the UK, but I'm looking for a very lightweight (or a very thin) gloss.

What is the application ?

Posters for a local college. Internal use only, but its 200 SRA0 indivual and different prints for an exhibition. Specification - has to be extremely lightweight and has to be gloss - they handed me a gloss flyer which I'm was told was 115gsm gloss and said we'd like it on that material or as close as. I think there will be a light behind them. I dont think they have to be on see through material - just so that they'd stand out during the exhibition - also cost is a factor - cheap as possible - I think thats why the requirement for material as light and thin as possible.

i have 220micron backlit film 36 inch x 30 metres but thats 60quid a roll and requires a light behind

I was looking for similar paper a few weeks ago for badge production. Ended up with high quality laser paper, not an option for you though. You may find that coated CAD paper may work especially as it is backlit, or consider backlit film but expensive.

Pretty sure you can not get that weight in gloss anymore. Used to be able to several years ago but not anymore.

There are only two places I would ask, Metamark & Grafitype. Either might have it but I doubt it. You could ask if there is an adhesive backed gloss vinyl that has a thin backing sheet, that "may" work, but then the backing sheet will normally be printed on the back.

Those guys do SOLVENT materials for some reason I presumed it was a waterbased machine maybe you can clarify Centurion. My business is waterbased as the solvent market is way too low margin for me to bother with. But i have been doing it for over 30 years
