Not been too well for a while and just getting round to using the oki again. First problem is windows 10 does not show the printer is connected and trying to reload drivers fails.

I have space control 20072 installed and that also fails to connect.

Any thoughts please.

Yes, just trying a two pronged approach in case someone on here has been through this. Possible issue with w10 & usb ports, managed to get the driver onto usb002 but this seems to vanish from the port list at some point. Tried 3 different ports to no avail. Motherboard up to date.

I have the printer on a bench and cannot see the rear usb sockets, yep forgot there were two ports. I can confirm that the upper port should be used.... doh.

On closer inspection this morning I realised that I had managed to get the usb connector into the network socket.... fits really well !. Problem was I did this blind as I cannot see the back of the machine, probably use a mirror in the future.....

plugging into the wrong hole is rarely a good idea!

I can hear and feel that sign of relief when a problem sorted, its like going down 10 notches in stress

I did feel a complete idiot but just putting it down to age. Anyway printer is working fine and I am experimenting with printing on the reverse of ally bookmarks.
