Hello can anyone recommend a decent mug press with consistant pressure ?

Do you have a budget? Cheaper end of the market I'd probably look at the Genie from Listawood (10% off with out Premium Membership) Personally I use Adkins Studio presses for mugs.

I joined this forum looking for help as my Galaxy GS-201 doesn't have even pressure or heat. I know this threads quite old but did find a decent alternative?

Jerry, I spend many hours trawling this forum looking for the best mug press. There were so many varying comments on many different mug presses, both good and bad.
However, the Adkins seemed to have the best comments in general. That gave me the easy decision to buy one. I am new to dye sub mugs and have been experimenting for the last week and have excellent results with the Adkins press.

It costs more than most but is definitely worth considering.

I'm new to the sublimation business. After much thought I got a USA made GeoKnight DK3. It was a lot more expensive than Chinese one but we figured we will have it a long time, spares should be available pretty much forever and it is well proven machine with lots of good feedback on various forums and hopefully we'll get our money back in less wastage of mugs and time.

We are getting great results with it within 6 tests varying time, preheating, temp, pressure, cooling method etc., and that is just with cheap unbranded sublimation mugs from a local Chinese supplier. We will be testing mugs from other sources on it soon.

One tip that may help is to try preheating your mugs by filling them with hot water for 30s before pressing. Also, make sure you don't have a duff batch of mugs before blaming your machine.
