Hi guys

Another newbie I'm afraid but looking forward to mastering the art of sublimation. My partner is a Pastel Artist and we have decided to embark on this venture to reproduce her artwork on various substrates. Our main interest is in tiles and supplying large installations for splash backs. shower enclosures and so on, along with a number of decretive products.

Having a few start up issues but will post in the relevant sections if the forum and see if we can find some answers.

In the meantime our set-up is as follows

Ricoh SG 3110DN Printer
Sublijet R Inks
27" iMac using Photoshop CS6
Perfect Resize software - This is worth checking out if you need to create very large images from small without pixilating them
38 x 38 Clam Press
Mini 3d Vacuum Press

Thanks for reading

John

Sounds good John. A meet at Polesden Lacey over one of their wonderful sausage rolls may be in order.

Hi John and welcome to the forum. Always interested to hear about tiles being printed, how they are protected and fair in day to day use for cleaning/uv resistance etc. I look forward to discussing that further with you on the forum :-)

Hi Steve, not using the Canon for Dye Sub but for reproducing Fine Art Paintings that my partner paints.

Hi!
I'm another newbie, also setting up to further my partners artwork (also pastel!) and currently just using a 3D vacuum press with Epson printer. So much to learn!

Quick question though - how do you capture the pastel artwork to reproduce?

Good luck and welcome!

Sam
