Your lack of web design skills shouldn't hold you back if say you were to chose to build yourself a WordPress site as you can pick from a huge range of prebuild templates and build on them. You could choose a UK based hosting account for a couple quid a month and Google building a WordPress website, there are many helpful YouTube videos on how to go about it too if your feeling overwhelmed. This would get you started and give you a web presence. If you still want to pay someone to build a bespoke site for you that can be done as well. Sooner you have a web presence the sooner people will know your there.
