Anybody else had a problem with ebay today? Every other site I pop in and out and do things. Ebay has been failing to load, hanging, and every other annoying thing possible!

Just me?

There was a situation where eBay, Facebook and those popular sites were slow and people couldn't get on. The fault was with BT not being able to handle the traffic, but eBay and everyone else got the blame.

Think you got it wrong there loadsa capacity free on the BT network. There may well have been a local problem on an odd exchange but no network issues.

The only network that is separate from BT is Virgin, all other isp's are reselling BT's network. Sky sometimes use satellites as well but a cable in the ground is generally better.
