Hi I am thinking of buying one of these printers and was wondering if anyone had any views on it good or bad and what it would take to make it fit for sublimation as it sounds like it will work straight from the box.
thanks in advance

I suggest you search the forum for "supported printers" and "unsupported printers". A big mug of tea and some homework will be your friend.
Not being awkward, it's just that the asking of the question, says that you haven't yet done that.

Hi Janners the reason that I asked was because I can't read the screen very well as I have limited vision and am registered blind this is a hobby I am trying out to keep from going mad ,I would follow your advice if I could and would never ask if I could do otherwise but I do understand your point .
btw I am doing not to bad with mugs but not so good with phone cases

In that case I suggest keeping it as simple as possible, a Ricoh printer with sawgrass sublimation ink from one of the suppliers on this forum, you will then have phone and internet support (they can even take over your computer to check settings) if you have a problem.
The only printer designed for sublimation is a VERY expensive Epson aimed at the commercial market.

I have two of these printers and found they work well when used regularly, but as with my previous Epson's if you don't use them be ready for blocked nozzles. I eventually got a Ricoh, and so far have had no problems.

I have had two of these and feel I aged 10 years during my futile attempts to get them to print without nozzle clogging. I would steer well clear but, having said that, am aware that some people have no trouble at all.

I have one and would rate it well. But some people have had trouble with them.
The blocked nozzle happened to me after my return from holiday. My printer is in the conservatory so got warm and probably dried the ink in the head. I used my kit from the

Thanks for the info I tend to agree with you about epson clogging problems I think I will save a bit harder and buy the big brother of my Ricoh 3110 as it's almost idiot proof ..
