7600/9600 working on Windows 8/10

With Windows 10 now being available for download, I thought I'd investigate getting our 7600 and 9600 printers running on the newer OS again. As in the past I've not found a workaround, so was stuck on using the Vista driver on Windows 7. Today I found instructions to get the Vista driver working on Win 8/10.

And I confirm I've got it working on my Windows tablet (Dell Venue 11 Pro) which upgraded to Windows 10 last night.
A load of stuff in the print queue on main machine at the moment, so not had chance to do it on there yet.

This should hopefully help with others using these printers (or considering buying them on Ebay) and other printers with drivers which have not been updated since Vista!

With having to put a few new systems in, I keep on coming back to this thread to remind myself of what I had found - really glad I posted it now, even if I'm the only one benefitting!

How did you get round the USB keyboard not working when you went into the section to chose the Disable driver signature enforcement?

Didn't have that problem - done this on a few systems now since I posted this thread, including the last one just last week, which is our main machine we print from, so held off a while to make sure everything would be OK with 10, and to find a time when it wasn't printing or being used by staff!

I solved it with an old USB/PS2 keyboard adaptor which did the job. Seems like a breeze once you get past the secret menu - thank you very much Pisquee... saved my bacon and a lot of heartache too - mandatory MS Win10 upgrade...sigh.

I don't supppose you copied those instructions anywhere did you? Recently inherited a 7600 and would be nice to get it working on Win10...The link just takes you to the homepage now.
