When I owned a screen printers we tried this several different ways and it never worked out financially viable. It was quicker and cheaper to do them as a transfer to heat press. Nowadays there are specialist machines that will just screen print labels. These are automatic and look the nuts. Depending on how many you are thinking of doing then I would consider investing in one of these machines.

However, depending on your clients and why you are labeling it might not be worth it. For runs of over 500 garments I expect to pay about 10p for custom screen print label. That's a lot of garments you got to do to get your money back!

If you are still hell bent on doing them with your current machine, then fold the garments inside out before you start :-)

Hi we do Lonsdale t-shirts for sports direct and we have always cut Gildans label out apart from the wash label , but it takes to much time , so printing is better for us as we can buy tees without label , so thanks for the advise with look into it a bit more

So are you saying that the Lonsdale t-shirts are in fact Gildans just rebranded?
