hi guys has anyone tried the option of refillable cartridges for the ricoh for sublimation printing ,i don't use mine much ,i have made 20 mugs in 6 months ,but i am now out of black ink when i checked all my cartridges in there they should have all been used by 2014 and the black by 2013 ,i don't want to spend 200 pound on a set that would go out of date by the time i used them so was thinking of the refillable ones on an auction site for 40 pounds ,it then seems a bit of a mine field for sublimation ink with big differences in prices ranging from 50 pound for 50ml upto a few hundred pound , i know the old saying you get what you pay for but are there any other options with good results for someone like me an occasional mug presser ,thanks all justin

We are not really allowed to discuss third party inks in small format printers so will leave that one.
However you are doing so little that is it worth considering teaming up with someone on this forum to print and post your sheets. It will surely be cheaper than purchasing ink that will go out of date before you use it.

if you think about it, if your buying bulk ink to refill refillable carts you've got more on hand to go out of date, it's also not stored in optimal air free conditions ink in unopened carts are.. so you'll be throwing more away it'll probably cost more in the long run even without thinking of the the flush and whatnot you associate with refillables.

its a bit like a big silver balloon full of ink so never comes in contact with air.
