For the t-shirt makers on the forum ................

Has anyone ever tried to dye sub an image onto a t-shirt then add vinyl on top of that?

My idea is to dye sub an image onto a t-shirt which has a white area that would be filled with a vinyl design.

As I've never t-shirt before in my life (just setting up with many ideas) I was wondering if it would work?

:?: :?: :?: :?:

Yes it's possible to do, but, it's getting the vinyl lined up properly that's going to be your problem.

I've not tried it, yet :?

im going to be trying this method soon myself but im going to use black instead of white for the blank area for the vinyl..
that way if its slightly out with teh vinyl it'll look like a shadow rather than an obvious gap in the print :D :D :D

Yeah, could be tricky aligning it. It may look fine until it's pressed, the vinyl may move a little. Also, make sure you have something inbetween the print and the platen when you re-press in case it ghosts
