Got one silicone mug wrap in for a play. Wanted to test results on our mugs to see if the wraps fit OK. Just used our kitchen gas oven on gas mark 6 (!) aimed for 20 minutes, but forgot about it and went to have dinner, so in the end it was 40 mins, so inks all burned to a brown hue and blurred, but tge top to bottom print and close to the handle all fine. a bit more playing needed today, with the old whisky glasses too, and then will need to buy in a load of wraps, and a counter top oven. and heat gloves!
recommendations for suitable heat gloves, good supplier for lots of wraps too?!
I was also wondering if the metal clamp parts of the wrap are standard parts, if so it may be cheaper to make them up DIY style.
just need to get used to putting the wraps on quickly now, and then training up the staff

I switched to ovens about a year ago and will not go back, think they are far easier and a lot quicker for bulk.

I use the green wraps (available from Subli Blanks among others), very cheap so not sure if its worth making yourself but if you know where to get the green stuff I may be interested for some odd stuff I want to sample. I also note that Longforte have a bucket load of wraps for various items, I am not a fan of those style of wraps, but its very useful for those one off jobs and sampling.

What is worth looking at is if you need a wrap, some designs don't!

If your oven holds 20 mugs (for example), you will need a minimum of 40 wraps but ideally 60

One cooking, one cooling down and one wrapped ready for putting in.

Lastly, I would expect about 8 minutes for one mug which increases to about 14 minutes (ish) for 12.

Also, is that Halogen or a standard oven?

As many as I can get in..... 1 or 20. Clock starts when oven gets back to 180C which is 30 to 45 seconds usually. And thats with room temp mugs, if they are really cold then stand them on top of oven to take the chill out of the thick base.

What make and model of oven are you using ArferMo?

I tried oven as well with the cheap green wraps from China and a £30 halogen oven, prints (photos on another thread were perfect, top to bottom print and 15mm from handle - 200 degrees - 10 mins This oven would hold 4 mugs but I only printed 2 at a time
