Hello and help :-) ! And apologies as this is not a dye sub issue.

Just wondering what you knowledgable folks would do if you needed to:

BACKGROUND:

I am opening an online Ceramic Store where customers can customize things like Christmas Ornaments, novelty salt and pepper shakers etc….

The issue is that a lot of customers want to be able to print white on a colored product.

I came across the Oki white printer but I am having a difficult time understanding the process.

Everything I have read states that you need heat and pressure with the Oki and its heat transfer paper.

Unfortunatley they do not make a heat press in the shapes I need.

Does anyone have any advice on if what I am trying to accomplish is even possible?

Would a Heating Blanket, Vaccum Printer, or Cactus Wrap help me? When I call places that sell this equipment they say they are just for sublimation.

Would the following work?

Step 1 - Print Logo using Oki and heat transfer paper
Step 2 - Put Logo onto t-shirt shaped ceramic salt shaker with heat tape
Step 3 - Wrap a Cactus Wrap around item to get the pressure needed (or use a vacuum 3d printer)
Step 4 - Bake in a kiln or oven

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am really stuck!

unless you can make a custom clamp I don't think you will make progress with cpm and white laser printers!
WHITE is a very difficult colour to print, because the white pigments are quite weak, so you ideally need multiple layers of them to get solid.
moon might be easier!

Dont need to dye sub for this issue, i had a similar issues a few years ago when tryin to do custom black ashtrays
this is the product i used:

has a few steps, and its not very quick but it does work and it will do what you want to achieve

I have another idea. Why not make a stencil of the "A" from sticky backed vinyl and then use a solvent paint and paint the design on?
I have never done this myself but I have customers who do this on their bicycle frames and it works.

Sorry, just seen this post is from April. Youve probably solved it by now.
