Not sure if i'll keep windows 8 on there but I think this machine should last me a long time.

Excellent, just like Xmas eh?! Nah, I hate Win8, Win7 all the way Personally I'd have spec'd a good size SSD as the main drive. Biggest boost you can give and the gains are huge.

I'll be keeping a lookout for a good deal on a SSD and there are a few bits that I can take from my current pc to add this system like my LG Blu-ray writer and my creative sound blaster x-fi titanium fatal1ty champion series. I haven't had the opportunity to try out windows 8 but I know alot of people don't like it, windows 10 is out in the summer and is a free upgrade so hopefully that will be better. My main reason for going with this pc is the graphics card by all accounts bang for bucks it has blown everything else on the market out of the water which doesn't happen so definitively very often when it comes to gpu's.

I build my own PC's, my main PC cost me in excess of £2k parts only. By contrast, I put together a £200 system for home. Office system is cracking, never runs out of memory, no issues whatsoever. That said, for £200 my home PC never lets me down, sure it's a bit slower when I push it through Adobe/CDraw etc. but it always copes. Again though, I put a small SSD in for OS and programs, bigger drive in for storage and Dropbox backup. Even at this level the SSD makes a huge difference.
