Is there any reason why I can't get my cutter to cut the mug templates out for me?

Let's say I want to insert 12 mug images into a page in CorelDraw/Illustrator, add registration marks and get the cutter to cut out or perforate each mug template for me.

I tried setting up a document in CD to do this, adding snap to but can't get it to snap the images properly to the template.

All seems possible in theory

If you are still looking at the volume you have been talking about previously then I would consider a print and cut machine that is converted to dye sub inks. Not sure if a Roland can be converted but I know at least one make of "PnC" can as LTS have it.

With my Roland I can set up a kiss cut and a perforated cut on one file/job (ie. it can kiss cut a circular sticker and then cut a perforated square. All I have to do is pull apart and pack ). So presumably you can do it with others.

I'm more interested in how the file would be generated using the template.

That will be cheap to run and very fast with double colours
