I have some mug wraps and I fancy having a go with an oven, am I right in thinking that a fan assisted halogen oven will do the job once I have the timings etc sorted or am I better off with a small counter top convection oven? A bit of advice would be appreciated

A lot of people on here use the ones that are often found in Aldi or Lidl

I have a small counter top oven that I use for some items, works a treat, £39.00 from (comet...or curry's). I use a decent thermometer in it though. When set to 170 degrees it is actually at 210!

Lidl have them in at the moment for £26.99. I grabbed one but have not yet used it.

What are the temps and times when using these ovens?

I have just done 12 mugs for a local brownie unit just now at 200 degrees for 23 mins. 3 mugs at a time.

That is not 23 mins for all 12. 3 mugs cook in 23 mins so it was just over the 1hr to do all 12. So longer than a mug press but I was doing some other bits on the press, cooking dinner and designing some t shirts as well. Oh I also done 6 in my mug press as well so a total of 18 mugs in roughly 1 1/2 hrs from printing to pressing/cooking plus all the other bits I done. Not sure if this is quicker than just using a single mug press but it means I can do other thing at the same time as this is still a partime thing for me at the moment.

Single mug press works out at 4 mins per mug, whilst one is cooking another wrap is printed, a mug wrapped, a mug cooled and a mug packed. Well for me when I concentrate. When doing bulk orders, 4 mug presses are as many as I can handle at time, this though has to be packing back into the boxes they came in, not individually!
