Hi all, this forum has been my go to place for hints and tips since I started sublimation printing, it's got me out of many difficulties and helped me learn alot lol so thank you.

Im hoping I can get some advice on my latest issue.

I bought a new epson 1500w and a new cis system (coralgraph) but i cannot get the printer to recogonise the system at all. Everythings definately in correctly, all cartridges in and clicked...i reset so many times but still wont work. Coralgraph sent me out a new chip and ive tried it nmerous times again with no joy. Other cartridges work in this printer no problem, so the printer is defiinitely working.
I have tried the new cis system in my old knackered epson 1500w and it worked grand on the second reset......why wont it work in the new epson1500w :(
Any help appreciated currently pulling my hair out

Epson are notorious for changing the chip technology and it wouldn't surprise me if this has happened again. The CISS works in an older Epson, the carts that came with the printer work (?) in the new printer so it sounds like the chips on the CISS. Doubt you'll be able to send the printer back as it is working.

I had the same problem with my 1500w, I had to try three CISS's in the end before I found one that would work.

I am planning on buying this printer with a CISS in a few months. So which CISS worked and which ones didn't?

It is interesting that you had problems with the Coralgraph CISS, because that was the one that worked in mine and no-one elses did.

How are you putting it in? Strange question I know, but I have managed to adapt the lid/top to the cartridge chamber so that the CISS cartridges can go in and the tubes come out, and the lid/top can still work as normal! For many people getting that part of without breaking it, and therefore if need be, cannot go back to Epson because they wont honour the warranty, yes I know putting the CISS in also voids the warranty, but with the way I have done it, you cannot tell!

Hi Folks, many thanks for the replies! It actually turned out there was a fault in the actual printer, it was only purchased about 2 weeks ago so naturally i thought there wouldnt be anything wrong and assumed it ws the cis system.... but having tried everything numerous times and still failing I gave the printer in to get looked over at nearest epson servicing centre...and it turns out one of the metal contacts was missing in the printer where you put the inks. All fixed now tho and cis system in and worked on the second attempt so I'm a happy bunny :) (We were able to reattach the lid/top and insert other inks before bringing it in, so everything fixed under warranty, thank goodness :))))
