DSF

I am wondering if someone may be able to help me. I have been sent a PDF file by a client as they want some mugs and polo shirts doing but I cant open it in my old version of Corel. If i try to import the original file I am told there is an internal filter error. I have tried an online PDF converter to go back to an older version but Corel now says the file is corrupt.
Could I please email it to someone and they send it back as an old version or better still as a CDR file. I have version 12 of Corel Draw. I found it at an old signage firm I worked for.

I sent out a couple of feelers else where as well. So it got done by a mate at a signage firm. Again thanks for the offer.

Ok, take a look at Pstill.com a very good PDF utility

You can also use GIMP it will import it, and then you export it in any (almost) format you want!

I have GIMP as well. Will try that.

You need to make sure you import it rather than just trying to open it though, and as I said, export it, you cannot just save it as!

If you use Gimp is it not the same as any image editor in as much vector objects will be converted to bitmaps and therefore potentially lose clarity once printed? Obviously things like photographs have to be images but shapes and text generally benefit from being vector and of course anything to be cut on a plotter must be vector anyway.
