Very silly post I know but here goes. Since the printwear and promotion show ive been interested In the sunangel system prints look great hand is good etc etc. My only problem is ive been offered an epson 9600 refurbished with full pigment inks (that will give me the option to do bigger canvasses than my 4800 )and free delivery for 800 pounds I only have the budget for one or the other. Any insight to help my decision would be greatly appreciated

what pigment ink is in the 9600... and by full do they mean a set of refill carts? if so, what size are they, they're usually 250-300ml, but bigger and smaller are available.
it's higher than we've paid for 9600s, but we've only bought plain used ones not refurbs full off ink. we've usually paid £350-500 for printers that have only used original Epson inks.

Yeah I think that relates to the Uv resistance I font think they necessarily meant for outdoor banners as ive spokeN to them and the seem to be pretty clued up

Ummm I'll bow to the knowledge of others on here to advise but seems a rather high price and I don't think I would supply anything for outside printed on it to be honest.

No I wouldn't either maybe if I had a cold laminator my problem is I have no transport and nobody who would be able to provide sufficient transport to pick one up from the areas ive seen them listed. Ive been looking on ebay and all 9600s ive seen have been around the 800 mark

84Kg is quite a lump. Lots recently sold round to 200 mark "said" to be in good working order.

if you can find a seller who can get it on a pallet then you don't need to go anywhere ... you want to see it has a full clear nozzle check pattern before buying.

9600 is NOT outdoor even on outdoor media, the inks will fade very rapidly UV resistant the ink may be but not in direct sunlight. Even laminated youd be lucky to get 3 months. Bare in mind a SOLVENT printer is only good on a good media like metamark 10 year monomeric with a laminate, Waterbased inkjet site just under the surface of the media Solvent becomes one with the media.
If they insist its good outdoor get a print and put it outside youll see it will NOT last.
Im a engineer and colour spacialist and have been doing this since before the epson inkjet was around, back in the days of IRIS.
