Hi guys hope we are all keeping well. It has been a fun couple of days on here recently. I have struggling to get a clean press in my mug press.

I am using Trupix paper, Jarin mug press, Listawood mugs, temp 180 time 3 mins.
When I take the mugs out the paper is creased . I thought I may have had to much pressure but it is now so light that I can move the mug in the press when it is closed.Image
Many thanks.

Check with a straight edge to see if there is a taper on the mugs. I stopped using their mugs because of tapering issue which was a shame as I get/got very good service from them and found them easy and friendly to deal with. Mine were tapering to the bottom though. 1st box I got were the straightest I'd ever had the next boxes not so good. I'd happily go back to them if it got sorted.

I don't use a Teflon sheet but to be honest I have had nothing but issues with these mugs. I also have a halogen oven with the metal wraps and the same thing happened then. I will go back to BMS mugs and forgoe the discount from Listawood.

I had tons of wastage with Listawood mugs due to them being misshapen. Tried all of the recent premium mugs and settled on Rhino coated mugs. They're not perfect because I've got two boxes of 'B grade' mugs out of a pallet, but at least I can actually make a profit.

it must be what AlanD said about them tapering slightly then, we had issues a little while ago, and our teflon sheet had a little crease in it, which we had not noticed, and it was enough to make a small mark on the mugs

It must be the mugs as the photos only show 2 of the 6 that didn't work!! When I got the press I knocked out 3 trial mugs perfectly but these were BMS ones.
