Hi All,
Having trawled the forum for a few hours I cant seem to find an answer so thought I would post my question. Oh, and google sucks!

I have a client who is wanting custom bumper stickers of his own artwork so I'm looking for suitable media that I can print and cut. I was looking at printable, waterproof vinyl but I can only find ink-jet media and not laser. I do have a Canon PRO-100 A3 but the ink costs a fortune and I don't know if the inks are the right type. Laser printer is an A4 Oki C711WT. I need to be able to produce pro looking waterproof stickers with a paper backing in place ready for him to retail, can anybody point in the right direction please.

Thanks
Nigel.

Go to a sign company, van lettering, wraps, general signs etc who has a printer.

They should be able to supply printed, laminated, contour cut stickers by the metre ( most should offer a "trade" rate)

Bob is right, go to a signmaker who has a solvent/eco solvent/UV/Latex digital printer. I'm a small signmaker with vinyl cutters and even I go to the trade for digital stuff but do ensure that your files are correctly set up and ready to print if you want the best prices. They will print on a variety of self adhesive media and although polymeric or cast vinyl is suitable for most vehicle work some of the plastics used for bumpers and motorbike petrol tanks do a require a more specialised material, either way laminating before contour cutting will substancially increse durability. A Google search for signmaking forums will cover this topic in more depth.

PM me Nigel if you want. I have some gloss in stock so should be able to help you out and do you a deal.

If you want to search for a different supplier then all you need to make sure is that they are using a solvent printer, Roland or Mimaki are the best.
