Hi Guys

I've printed this t shirt using jet pro soft stretch, nothing wrong with the print but if you look closely you can make out a rectangle below the print that is from the last t shirt I done !

The previous t shirt was done yesterday again with JPSS, both pressed as per instructions, 30 secs 190c.

If I look closely at the t shirt it looks darker were I've had the silicon sheet covering the shirt whilst printing.

Has the previous image eaten into the silicon sheet so to speak? could the temp be too high?

After the first press it suggests after peeling the backing off re press for a short period, 5 to 10 seconds I think, going from memory here, could this be the problem?

You havent used the silicon sheet on both sides by any chance?

Don't know to be honest, I thought about that and held it up to the light and I can't tell if each side is different or not so its a possibility

Is there a right and wrong side?

you will have a residue on the silicone sheet, so you will need to wipe the sheet clean in between presses, this is an issue with white shirts, keeping the press/sheets spotless

Cheers Mrs, whats best to use on the sheet to keep it clean? Could I use IPA or would that affect the silicon sheet?

Bob, i use an old t shirt, and literally wipe it inbetween presses, you will be surprised to see whats on there, i hold mine up to the light to check, worse one i have done, was a whole load of bright green tops for a gym, followed by a white shirt, forgot to check and clean, and heypresto, a white/green shirt

Think I now know why it happened, the first image was printed, photo setting on printed, possibly more ink laid down and after my first press I then removed the backing and re pressed with the teflon sheet for 5 secs and the ink may not have been totally dry and transferred onto the sheet.

Think from now on if I'm doing the transfer paper I'll use a piece of baking paper and bin it after use.

Managed to pick up 2 teflon sheets, 400 x 500 from Lidl yesterday for 99p each.
