Hi I bought a photo light tent on ebay, its quite good and feels good quality, the lights get very hot and are not terribly bright but i think it was definitely a worthy purchase. These are my first photo's and they are taken with an xperia z3 (probably need a proper camera but its pretty great for a phone) , i removed the background in photoshop as the backdrop was very creased due to how it was packaged, i also added a dropshadow and played with the colours a bit but what do you guys think? edit-the forum doesn't seem to upload in the same quality as the original image

not to bad. but i would go for slightly different angle. heat press the background to iron the imperfections and it will be good to go
also i presume the mirror is shiny silver and not black as per picture?

Yeah its silver doesn't look black on my laptop will probably have to play with the levels a bit I think my xperoa z3 gives muted colours too but takes much better pictures than my 14 mp digital camera

when light is reflecting of shiny surface, camera try to compensate it and this result in black instead of nice silver. there are tricks how to avoid that.

photography courses. look for product photography on youtube. maybe something there...
I will give you this one...
when photographing mirror or metallic objects, try to place blank, white piece of paper. printer paper will do the job.
place it opposite so its reflecting of your shiny item. it won't go black/dark
