Hi all,

Firstly just wanted to say thanks for all the excellent advice contained within these pages! I've gone from not having a clue how to print on a mug to having a set-up (Adkins press, Ricoh, 10oz mugs) that I pretty much got to work right out of the box, just by reading this forum.

I have a really basic question, that is probably subjective anyway, but was hoping for some opinions to help me decide.

Which side of the mug do people generally print when doing single sided mugs? Currently I'm printing so that if held in the right hand, the image is facing outwards, but I've flip-flopped that much that I can't decide if this is right or not :biggrin:

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Why not print both sides? The cost isn't much different, it's the same amount of work and your customer will be happier.

If I'm printing a mug and customer states they want photo on 'the front' I'd do the same as you. If I do a photo with text message, again the same. I had a customer recently who requested the opposite for their left handed staff members though! That got very confusing

That would make life easier Gary! I just push buttons and pull levers though. My wife is the designer, so I just do as I'm told with regards to layout.

Cheers Justin! Good to know that I'm not alone in my thinking. Being a left hander who mostly holds a mug in my left hand. I don't even want to start thinking about that headache!
