Re: Adobe Photoshop CS6 Crashed Everytime I try and print using PowerDriver

Hi Everyone, I have been doing some test prints without using the PowerDriver-v4 SG3110DN (EU)
When I set the driver to use the PowerDriver Photoshop CS6 hangs / crashed every time.
The test prints I have done seem ok, but the image is faded and looks dull, compared to the image I print from Photoshop.
Anyone else having or had this problem?
If I continue to use the default SG3110DN driver, What is the best paper type to use?
Plain, Glossy or InkJet Plain Paper.
Thanks in advance for any replies this thread may get.

Hi Goose. I have navigated to the folder location but I dont see a ICC profile file named photoshop,
Am I being a complete noob here as I am clearly missing something?
Hope you can point me in the right direction.
The only reference to photoshop is a file called AdobeRGB1998 ?

We have problems with Photoshop crashing when going to print, on any of our printers, from time to time.
Something gets corrupted in the Photoshop preferences file, and to reset this, you need to hold down Alt+Shift+Ctrl when opening Photoshop, and you should get a dialog box confirming to reset the file.
As far as printing goes when you have fixed Photoshop, you should get much better results using the ICC profile with Photoshop printing to the Ricoh driver, and not use PowerDriver at all.

Hi, Printing via photoshop is working as it should do. It's when I print the mug, the image looks faded / dull to the image on the screen.
Should I be using the Inkjet Plain Paper type when printing the image out ?

You need use whichever paper/media setting, and print quality setting that the ICC you're using was made for.
If your colour management is correct, and you have a decent screen which is calibrated, then putting Photoshop into proofing mode should give you a farily good representation of what the final print will look like.

If you mean the image on the paper, It will look faded until you transfer it to you mug.
