Just to say hello to all, I'm looking to add sublimation to what I already do.

Main business was window films, cars, conservatories, privacy, security and solar control films that in turn led onto vinyl graphics, signs, van lettering etc.

Bought a printer and plotter which then got me interested in adding garment printing which has then led me to this stage, mainly interested in personal / promotional goods, eg mugs, phone covers, t shirts etc.

Have been on the site a few times doing my nosey, look forward to picking your brains in the near future.

Cheers

Hi Bob, welcome to the jungle. My top tip, don't buy any other mug than the European ones from BMS (www.printerowners.co.uk) as the quality is superb. Tried quite a few other cheaper mugs but quality not as good. Hope that helps. Olly

Cheers Olly, thanks for the info, Im more interested in this type of feedback, ie whats best rather than whats the cheapest.

Ive had a quick look on that site, have you used their phone cases? I know some guys have said some of the cheaper ones on the likes of e bay are not correct sizes etc.

Thanks again for taking the time to post

Bob

Hi Bob. I have used some of their cases in the beginning when I was playing around with a mini vacuum but have not made that part of my main business model yet. Therefore all i can say is they seemed fine to me. Olly

Xpres mugs are printing better than the European mugs for me right now but the BMS ones are excellent.

Welcome to the forum Bob :-)

Thanks for the reply Justin, any particular reason why Xpres mugs print better than the BMS ones?

Being a newbie I'm eager to learn all I can, any recomendations for phone cover suppliers?

Thanks

Bob

Personally I'm finding the overall print slightly better and i don't have to pre-heat the base at all, probably not quite as dense. Plus I get them cheaper :-)

Yes that interests me as well as I've always had problems with all other mug types. Bad printing, marks on mugs or popping mugs. I know the European BMS mugs use the RN coating which is the original and from what I read, best coating, in the mug world. Hence the mugs are more money. Also one major point, the mugs from BMS come individually wrapped in a bubble wrap coat meaning that I've never had a broken one before unlike others that are boxed like factory chickens. The bubble wraps are also perfect for client delivery. Olly

I think it's there own coating, the XP5013 have recently changed and do seem better, worth a sample but oh dear they're showing out of stock, not good timing!
