I put mine into a Santander saver account where it will accumulate a cool 0.01% interest rate.

Stuck half of mine into Premium Bonds at least I may get something back even if it is £25.

The business guy on LBC said that premium bonds are not what they used to be and a rubbish investment these days. I'd buy gold bars.

Buy gold sovereigns. Technically they are still 'legal tender' and are not subject to capital gains tax when you sell them.
