Interesting. Based on the supplied image I would say the SubliSplash image has come out very over saturated. The bottom image looks more like the one I have on a calibrated display. I think you would need to profile both inks in the same way for an accurate comparison.

Of corse. I would always recommend this. But as i mentioned, i wanted to test it "out of the box"

So, is the improvement in the print more to do with the SS ICC profile being set up to make things look better than they are (or should be) rather than a true representation of what the image should print like? Would be good to see the two inks both with custom ICC profiles made up on the same system to compare side by side.

I thinks is bit if both. You can just shift colours with icc. So chemistry must play quite a big part. I am planning to prepare my own icc and test it too.

I am still newish to this world and don't sublimate as much as I should. I need to ask the question. Paul why did I you use your own Profile and not the one provided with these inks? Surely the best test from out of the box is to use the inks with their supplied ICC's or am I missing something here.

As in photography, natural is better than wow effect. So this is why you see joker as a bit wqshed out maybe. Tim, would be great to see 7 colour job!

Why do you say here that you used your own ICC?

Could we have a test using the Sawgrass ICC and the SS ICC as I think that is what most people use. I know there are people out there who have custom ICC , wide format and non saw grass inks but for the home printer and straight out of the box test this to me needs to be the bench mark. Test the two suppliers side by side out the box.
