The key appears to be uploading the image at the start of the design. On OC (at least) FPD only appears to load the full image at the time of adding to cart which is a problem and would cause customers to turn away imo.
You can have both a image uploader and FPD designer tool and customers can design or just upload the image (If they cant be botherd with the designer tool they can just use the uploader )..customers can do either before they add the product to the cart so isn't that good enough ??....

I'm just going back to an image uploader for the time being. I've re-installed Customer Order Product Upload mod in OC. When I upload an image it sticks at 100% and doesn't complete. I think this is yet another setting issue but all appears to be set ok. Anyone any ideas please?

I've put the Cust Order Upload mod into an OC2 install and it works fine but still sticks at 100% in v1.5, anyone shed any light on possible issue?

FPD have released the update that is supposed to fix the major problems associated with OC installs. I haven't had a chance to look myself yet, anyone else tried?

Justin I have a not yet released update from the developer as I work closely with him but there are still a few problems happening.

One main update he has included is a php uploader to speed things up as previous versions used opencarts default uploader so uploads where slow but it is having problems with certain browsers

now you can also select if would like to save image to your server rather than the database version, not recommend on most hosting though as it will fill up your server space in no time

Go through my profile and get the link to my website that has FPD installed, i'm not using the php uploader yet due the problems it has with windows, hoping to fix it soon though (time permitting work is crazy at the min)
