She's just rubbish at scamming or Paul could have paid for both presses and so could I!

Yeah, you need to calm this thread down a bit now. It started off asking how we could be better protected on the forum. I agree that this probably is a scam but we need to wait as banks etc. have instructed. Please don't mention individuals on eBay or anywhere else without cast iron proof, thanks.

Justin, i would remove some of the posts on here, as at the moment although the sums seem to be 2+2 = 4 until you are certain, you should err on the side of caution,

No Laura, I didn't get my mug press...
I also paid with my paypal balance so no chance for getting my money back. not big loose but still few quid...
I am waiting till middle of next week and then i am going to visit my local Police station.
I know is only few quids but i will tell them there is more people that was scammed so they will have to investigate...

ps. Justin, can you get members IP on back of your control panel? asking if Police need it.

did you send the money as a gift then Paul ? as you were buying things from someone so i guess its a lesson learnt for us all, to only ever pay via paypal normal not gift so we have protection on it

yeah. as a gift. tbh i don't mind pay bit extra for the fees so i am not sure why i did send this bloody gift this time...
Any way... gift is only for paypal so they don't need to give me my money back. but scam is scam and goods wasn't send out so hopefully police will react.

Paul and others scammed,
I also posted that help file from another forum with a link to the fraud online website, only took a few minutes to fill the form in.This is linked to the police and will help when you go and report it my bank said. They also informed me at the bank they would actually be able to trace the account the funds were paid in to which might be nice, i hope they get this very clever person

Wonder if didn't get done, as I was wanting to use my own courier for collection, which would then need a pick up address, but then, I suppose she could have just given any old address if I had to pay up front.

Agree with Mrs. Maggot, I think it best we keep this thread useful and not further risk any issues.
